Dr. Annie Creato, owner of Kidsteeth Pediatric Dentistry in Swarthmore, is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist who specializes in the treatment of children from infancy to young adulthood, including children with special needs. She maintains hospital privileges at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, A.I. duPont at Bryn Mawr, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she cares for children who cannot tolerate full treatment in an office setting.

Dr. Annie purchased Kidsteeth in March 2017, but the practice has been in existence for approximately 20 years. It was her goal to maintain the atmosphere of the practice, while incorporating the ideals cultivated over Dr. Annie’s 10 years in private practice.

“Kidsteeth takes pride in giving you and your family the personal feel of having a pediatric dental office that knows you and your children,” she says. “We take the time to explain any procedure, listen to your questions, and most importantly, answer them. We stay up to date with the most current science and technology and use top-of-the-line materials. We keep the environment fun for children as well with TVs on the ceilings in treatment rooms and a fun and upbeat staff who are passionate about what they do.”
Dr. Annie treats every child with patience, open-mindedness, kindness, and empathy as if her own child were sitting in the chair. She has surrounded herself with a great team whose members share her philosophy of care.

Dr. Annie wanted to be a dentist since age seven. She always enjoyed going to the dentist and she was treated by hygienists and dentists who took great pride in their work. Her childhood dentist’s office was fun, and these early experiences became the foundation for Dr. Annie’s decision to pursue dentistry as a career.

Dr. Annie completed a prestigious accelerated dental program offered through Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania earning her B.S. and D.M.D. She achieved her specialty license in pediatric dentistry following her residency at St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Annie was drawn to pediatric practice because of her skill in the field and her ability with behavior management. She learned from her own experiences with special needs family members, as well as her mother’s years of experience as a special education teacher. To Dr. Annie, there is nothing more gratifying than the feeling of helping a nervous child through a successful visit, and the child leaving with a smile on his face and a prize in his hand.

The support Dr. Annie has received from the community in the last year and a half has been exceptional. The referrals, kind words, and nominations for top dentist have made Dr. Annie feel quickly welcome in her new home.
